Author Topic: Source SDK for Blockland?  (Read 1305 times)

"People Who Do NOT like this idea do NOT post on this topic with any rage or saying this Topic Is Pointless"

"TF2 mappers and etc should know what i mean"

So...I'm sure some of use use Mission Editor to make changes to maps and Gui's right and sometimes it can be hell to use right?

So how about a special Source SDK for Blockland? It could have the following tools in it:

-Map Editor
-Map Creator
-Gui Editor
-Gui Creator

And also a site which would tell you:
-Basic Map Making
-Basic GUI Making

Hope you guys like this idea ;)

blockland runs on torque.  if it was on source, it would be a very differnet game.

We already have all of this, all you have to do is stop being lazy and learn how to use the editors that are provided.

I myself am a veteran source mapper. Blockland does not need an SDK. Also protip: SDK stands for "Software Development Kit". The mission/GUI editor IS the Torque SDK.

Lol, I just realized that Source's SDK means "Source Source Development Kit."

God DAMN I'm slow.

No, its Source software development Kit, Lern2SDK

No, its Source software development Kit, Lern2SDK
Knowing Yuki, he probably meant that.

And yes it does mean Software Development Kit

it's a game engine you can't just "make" it for the game the game has to be made for it or in this case FROM it

Isn't there a newer Torque engine that would add a lot of cool features and better graphics to BL? :3

Yes.
Are we getting it?
No.

more like a Blockland SDK
rather than source

but yes I would love to see a mission editor like hammers

Too bad Torque doesn't work that way, and you can already use Hammer to make interiors as far as I know.

If we all buy an extra five keys maybe Badspot will be motivated to upgade the engine.

Just a thought.

Blockland runs on the Torque engine, not the Source engine, stupid. If it ran on the Source engine, a clean install of the game would be ~2 GB.
