I bought it on a disk to avoid having to download it off steam, which would take a while considering my internet, and I want to know if the disk lets me play on steam.
Answer quickly, I have 5 days to return it.

You could install it into the steamapps\common and once you buy it it should find the files.
I don't know if it'll work, though.

Borderlands is not supported for that.

Add nonsteam game.
Also, Borderlands uses Gayspy (Gamespy)
So no worries.

That's for things like a physical copy of orange box and such.
