Author Topic: In need of a new graphics card.  (Read 2805 times)

Well, I need a new graphics card, because the 9600 GT is becoming outdated.

Has to be <500$

Nvidia, ATI, I don't care, just as long as it will be good near the end of 2010.

My fan on mine blew up so i had to put an external fan running on my computer :D

Below 500$?

Get the GTX 295
If you have the wattage and spacing of course.

EDIT: GTX 285 is less expensive and has near similar power.

You, sir, are horribly wrong.

Oh no, here we go again.

Don't let your computer-peen get in the way of this one.

wat

It's true. The GTX285 does not compare to the 295. 285 SLI is better, but not standalone.

You think the price will go down from now 'till then?

Can you give us your power supply, CPU, RAM and case size?

I don't quite have my new computer yet. The cpu should be a quad 2.6 GHz, with 4 GB of RAM. I'm going to have to buy a new PSU, mines only 550 watts.

Edit: I have no Idea how big the case is going to be, hopefully large.

STAY AWAY FROM THE 295. DON'T EVER TOUCH THAT stuff, NEVER EVER TOUCH IT.
Go for a 5870 instead.
Also I own the 295 so don't call me a fanboy, it's just overpriced as loving hell and runs like stuff.

Will that still be good a year from now?
