Author Topic: Virus, dunno how to get rid of it  (Read 2846 times)

Well, sounds like you have a rogue antivirus of some sort.
Do you know the name of the virus?
AntiMalware is what it's called, I believe.

Holy stuff, I had the a few days ago. Boot into Safe Mode, then run malware bytes from there.

To lazy to look through the entire topic to see if someone already posted this, but "Malwarebite's AntiMalware" is a free virus scan that works pretty well. I used it when I had gotten a few viruses. But if this virus is as big as one I had not too long ago, it will actually take over that program and cause it not to work. If this happens then backup the files you need and wipe your computer. It's the only thing you are able to do.

Don't know if you have a brain or not, but you didn't read the few posts right about this one you loving moron.
Alright, I'll try this.

Edit: Oh wait, no I won't! The god damn setup won't loving work.

If you have no common sense or any at all, I'll make it easy for you:
Miga suggested Malwarebyte's which I already had (I didn't mention this). I uninstalled my copy because it wasn't working and downloaded the installer which also didn't work because the virus was blocking it.

Also, aside from dealing with morons, Miga gave me avast! link, and I'm scanning as we speak. I think I got rid of the virus just a few seconds ago though.

I had this a couple weeks back. I got rid of it by doing a system scan with Windows Defender.

At least, I think I did.

This.

Sure, next time one pops up. Just wait like, five minutes.

I've found the solution:

http://www.spywarevoid.com/remove-malware-defense-malwaredefense-removal-help.html

That site will tell you on how to manually remove it.

avast! is working for me so far, so I think I'll keep it. So far it's stopped the Malware Defense stuff.
