PC crapped out -- Anyone know why?

About two weeks ago, I was browsing the GameFAQs forum. I went to a link of a picture on photobucket parodying the PS3 "it only does everything" ad. After looking at the picture for about five seconds, I hit back and the computer froze. Not the kind of freezing where you can still move the mouse, everything just froze.

And I turned it off and back on again, and it just kept making a long beep without showing anything on the screen. The beep would continue until I turned the computer off.

Anyone know if this was from a virus, or just some hardware glitch/problem?

GET THE forget OUT OF HERE.
And it might have been... THE OVERESTIMATED CONFICKER VIRUS
Just kidding, maybe a trojan tried to get in but windows Self Deleted to save itself. It happened to me, I had to reformat on my other PC except I just turned it off.

It's not even showing the black screen with white text where you can input the re-format key combo. It's just a black screen for as long as I leave the PC on.
