You assume it to be wrong because you assume the bible to be correct. It is valid because every person who has a scientific background in biology and doing active research has all found concurring evidence showing it to be true.
Easy, man. I didn't mean to get you riled. While I doubt
every single biologist agrees on one thing (Creationist scientists are the exception, perhaps?) I know that there are a lot of people that believe in evolution. I personally don't believe in evolution because I think it has its flaws. I don't claim to know which belief is right, I can only say which one I believe in. Christianity is a belief; I can't prove it, but it's what I believe in.
Now, I think this topic deserves our utmost attention:
