Author Topic: Aaaaaaah, screw you, Windows.  (Read 2731 times)

I used Windows for 30 days, and now it's asking me for a product key. I used a product key from a computer upstairs, but apparently, you can only use a key once.
So I either have to buy another copy of Windows, or illegally download a product key. And we don't want the latter, do we?

Discuss/suggestions.

What version

I must know

So I can tell you to get XP if you use vista/7

Office Depot sells XP

No, you can't just buy the key. When you buy an OS, you're basically only paying for the key. The disc is just a free thing to install the operating system. If you call microsoft and ask them for a replacement disc for one of their supported operating systems, they'll mail you one without asking if you have a key.

Wtf

Must be some left over inventory at the store near my house, then.

My foot is usually on the product key.
Look around the tower.
