How can I get it to run in OpenGL?

just click on options in the main menu and go to the graphics tab, in which you can just uncheck directx and check open gl, it will require a restart.

I understand, though, that you cant run your game, so I dont know what to do.

I just used my dads laptop to run the game and set it to OpenGL, however it only set it for his laptop. When I run it from my computer it still tries to open it with DirectX

Also, I used the networking thing where I can access this computers C: drive from my dads laptop

Beat all the tutorials then play a few of the beginner worlds and you should get better.
