The airforce has the latest and greatest technology, they first adopted the M-16 rifle before any other branch. The airforce isn't about all flying my buddy is in the airforce and he handles ammunition for attack choppers. And the Navy is good too, you actually have to be really smart to be in the Navy for a lot that they do. My dad's friend was in the Marines and he was in the first gulf war, he said that the marines get all the gear that has already been used by all the other branches and they used a lot of left over vietnam era equipment and they never had enough of anything. That being said I watched on the military channel that a lot of Marines are jumping ship to the Army because of these reasons, hell the marines are still using the old M-16a1's and a2's that have been phased out by the M4 and M-16A4. And even in the Gulf war he told me that the marines where using the old M-60 patton tanks when the Army had the New M1 Abrams tanks. Even still to this day the Marines are using the Old M1a1 abrams and the army get's the New M1A2 Abrams fitted with TUSK mods. So basically the Army is in the rear with the gear and the Marines are first to fight. Even during the invasion of Iraq in 2003 the marines complained that they never had enough batteries or anything, and their Humvees didn't have bullet proof armor.
