You can just put in the name, or use RTB to look up his ID by searching his name.

Or maybe not post other people's add-ons...

Good idea. Two of mine have been posted.
If I wanted it up there, I would've did it.

Then why post it. It is not yours, and I doubt you have permission. AKA 'steeling'

Either you didn't get my post, or I have no idea what you're talking about.

I saw in the holding tank that someone named master117 is trying to revive the Old School Rifle, It'll probably just be fail-binned with 'If Bushido wants it approved, he can upload it himself.'

The problem with other people submitting add-ons that aren't their own is that they don't know how to fix problems when they arise - and the submitter is also meant to be the maintainer.

So true.

Permission isn't really a requisite for submitting add-ons. The moment you release an add-on you basically lose all rights over its distribution so anyone is free to upload to RTB if they wish.

?

Those are not conflicting statements.
I believe he's saying "wut dose this meen".

Those are not conflicting statements.
In one you say anyone is free to upload it to RtB, but in the other you say that other people uploading it is a problem.

Yes, One is a statement about the current policy on uploading add-ons to RTB, and the other states a common issue that arises as a result of that policy.

I don't understand if you're after some explanation as to why we have that policy, or whether you just thought I was contradicting myself and wanted clarification? A single question mark is very ambiguous.

If both statements are true, then I guess I had misinterpreted them as two separate contradicting policies. If the "anyone can upload" policy has that problem, why does it remain in place?
