Some go through since they run on raycasts while the riot deflects bullets.

Some of this is broken with zombie mod friendly fire. The raycast weapons still damage players when zombie mod friendly fire is off.

If I'm not mistaken that happens with nearly all raycast weapons because it isn't an actual projectile damaging players, but the CI says who owned the raycast, even though a raycast can't be identified as a certain player's.

There could be a check. If friendly fire is off, check if the raycast is hitting an actual player, if so, cancel it.

Huh, well I don't really think it's that much of an issue, It seems that you use friendly fire all the time :P

It used to be. But it's on vacation now.

so i'm thinking of merging the Lever Action Rifle with the Sport Rifle to make the sport action rifle or something, getting rid of 1b and merging the Carbine and Silenced Pistol into 1A

the new arrangement will probably be

> instant kill on headshots
> 7 rounds, all piercing
> perfect accuracy unless you start spamming shots: 500 minimum time between rounds
> slightly thinner body, model-wise

similarly the military rifle (will be changed to the Magnified Rifle eventually) will be updated to still be stronger then the Sport Rifle

> 90 damage regardless of where you hit
> "afterimage" tracer round that appears after you fire the raycast round that does 5 damage (15 on headshots!) that also pierces targets
> 6 rounds (interestingly)

i might also turn the Pistol into a standalone silenceable weapon: something along the lines of "right click to add silencer: increase accuracy, decrease damage": but that seems like a copout

wouldn't be available to dual-wielded pistols though

EDIT: oh, and of course, the Combat Shotgun will be worked on just a bit too. it's almost worthless currently as opposed to the other automatic weapons in the tier

i think i'm gonna go with what i was gonna do with the drum shotgun: click for a standard semi-auto shot, right click for two semi-auto shots with huge recoil, shake up the screen a bit, and include one random 'critical' bullet that does extra damage then the rest of the buckshot

you can compare the two firing modes to essentially what power there it has now, and a stronger pump shotgun

on a side note i seem to be obsessed with giving weapons crits. i wonder why that is

I like that the current weapons are fairly simple though. So the sport rifle will be gone if you merge it or will it be a seperate weapon?
