I think you don't know that this is Badspot in real life.

Damn. Okay, you got me.
Baldspot*

Hehe. Badspot is watching you topic by Kompressor :D

It's good. I do agree that it does look like it was an altered photo, filtered, then smudged. But, if it wasn't, then that can just be taken as a compliment. Either way, however it was made, it does look good, so kudos.

The only reason I'm guessing people would suspect it was as such, is because of the rainbow color effect that has occurred along some of the outlined areas, and areas like the very edge of the eyes and ears as well as part of the shirt. This usually only occurs when you alter a photo, and not via normal means of painting.

Had I seen the actual reference photo, I would know right away if it was an alteration or not. But for now, I personally will not judge against you, so please don't interpret this as such.

Don't hate me for saying this, I'm just stating why others may have seen this and have said such before I have mentioned it.

Once again, no matter how it was made, it does look like a good job.

My reference. Ah, as I said before, this is a definite WIP. I did paint this, but used some filters first to give the picture some nice highlights. Why I defined this as a pseudo painting is because I did not start from scratch, but painted over his face due to me not being good enough at form to actually make it look realistic. Im so much better a creepy creatures :D, at least in my opinion.

Also, if you notice, the edged of his hair is not painted fully, I pointed this out to show that its not one big filter.

Forehead and hair looks blurry; everything else looks like it's been painted.

Noice.

Because the forehead hasent been painted yet, just the lower face and the hair :P

Showed it to my mum and she said "Eww, what a mong!" I laughed so damn hard.

Yea, my mom saw me working on it and said 'Eww'.

I saw your mum and I said "eww".

I AM SO WITTY!

Considering that I don't really rate my own mother, I don't take offense.
