If there are about equal numbers of guards and innocent players or more guards, they could each just shoot one person on the innocents team as it's likely they'll get the traitor before all are dead.

The game would generally be boring for the innocent players: they get nothing to do at all except wait to die. This gets worse if you try and add even more innocent players to fix the other thing I mentioned.

It would work better if there was all innocents and guards. One innocent is message on round start "You have been chosen as an undercover assassin" They have to kill all the other innocents. The guards have to find which innocent is the assassin and kill him. If the guards kill an innocent that isn't the assassin, they are taken out of the round, like losing a life.

I used to play this in my real life. It's a little-bit different. You all sit in a circle there is one killer and the detective has to find out who he/she is. The killer wins if he/she gives every one the stare, the detective wins if he finds the killer.

This sounds like a great idea. I would enjoy being a traitor and getting really into the innocent's trust.. But then, another traitor might end up killing me thinking I was really one of them.. There's so much potential complexity to it.

I could almost gaurantee it wouldn't work. People would, when they died, either say to everyone that they died or, if there was a mod that the dead couldn't talk (Like in TDM), the survivors would organize some kind of "PLAYER CHECK!" where everyone have to say "Here!".

Here is how this works, traitors can see their teammates as well as the detectives/loyalist, the innocent can't tell if someone is a traitor or innocent because it does'nt tell them, but friendly fire is suppose to be off.

Let's say there are about 32 players in a Traitor server, about 8 of them will be selected to be traitors, and 3 of them will be selected to be detectives/loyalist.

Also innocent players will be able to get weapons and defend themselves, and they'll probably travel in groups then just sit in a corner and wait for a traitor to walk by and kill them.

Lets say a person named Bob joins the Traitor game and joins traitor, but the minigame tells everyone which team he's on, blowing his cover, or, lets say Bob killed someone named djh765, a death message would show up, blowing Bob's cover.


The mod would have to be able to fix these problems.
