Check for game updates?

How old is the computer, maybe there is something wrong with the graphics card since you saw it played before? Perhaps it needs to be cleaned, dust can cause overheating, I believe.

It's pretty clean. It was only a year or two since I last saw it played.

Hmm. So you've updated the drivers recently then? Only things I can see causing this would be drivers, overheating or some fault in the graphics card.

Get something like Driver Cleaner, and find old ones.

go to www.canyourunit.com and then just type in the name of the game then it'll say what requirements were met...i hope this helps a bit
