Help how?
No matter what you say about them, they're going to increase the brick count by 1024 per 64x64 plate/cube.

I mean you could create some prints for example a 64x baseplate print as a brickpack then use demians addon to build whatver onto it

1. You don't need to use that add-on. All it does is allow you to build ontop of them, which I already know how to do.
2. That would require that the client have the brick, or else they'll just see studs. Thus why I said this:
Is there any possible way around this without modifying client sided files or using special bricks?

Well, the answer is most likely no

Chrono, you're basically asking for an add-on... I don't understand how it would work without the use of client-sided changes or special bricks.

Actually, for the next update to make so this doesn't happen.

The answer is no.
I always hated that about the default brick textures (I use the modified version that was probably linked in this thread) and if Badspot would change them to not glow in the dark that'd be nice.

Sadly I cannot force other clients to use this.

Oh, sorry. I didn;t know you meant that you wanted your server to have the changes. I thought you meant just client-sided.

Sadly I cannot force other clients to use this.
Yeah yeah, the most practical way to do this would be to either use an interior instead of a build or make a buttload of bricks that have blank textures on all sides.

Thoughts:

Is it possible to disable the texture within the server entirely?
Disable based on light?

For the bricks to have blank textures on all sides, I would need to force them to use the bricks.

The textures are rendered on the client.

There should be a way to fix this in the game's engine. It seems really stupid if the designers of the Torque engine left such an annoying flaw.

Badspot made all of the brick-related stuff (minus physics and octree). However, the "glowing decal" problem is in the engine.

You could delete the existing brick datablocks.
