My teacher told me a story about one time when he visited Haiti. It was with his college professor and a few classmates. (he was in college) As they were driving to this village, the college professor showed them a brochure of that village. It was very beautiful, and they were excited. But when they got there, it looked awful. They found the location of where the picture was taken, and made a comparison. The river was black with garbage. There was an overturned boat halfway in the water. All the grass was yellow. Garbage was spread onto the ground everywhere. It looked nothing like the picture. Why? That picture was taken before their most recent president was elected. He stopped paying to keep the place clean.
Overall, they had a stuffty president, who couldn't keep everything stable, and they couldn't elect someone else.

they are living better now with the world's aid then they were before.
