Look at it this way. Today, we need money to cope with our world. "Tomorrow", money will be as useless as ROBLOX. Tomorrow, star ships will be exploring the universe and discovering new life forms. Our money will have no role in interacting with other sentient species. I do believe I've made my point.

No, other sentient species would use a currency to trade what their planet does have to one that doesn't have.
