Author Topic: Brick Angling  (Read 1030 times)

I am constantly being constrained by the limits on the angles of bricks. Say you want a slope. You have to use one of those choppy ramp bricks, and they only come in basic angles. Wouldn't it be easier to place a brick, and use some kind of SOMETHING to drag your mouse and twist the brick to another angle? I think it would be useful to builders and other people.

I think it was possible in the older version, but buggy.

shoot, i click the poll and my post went away, anywho
no can do because it would require engine changes i bet, or it would've been made already, just go make your own angled bricks for now

... just go make your own angled bricks for now

No, I don't mean a brick type that is angled, I mean being able to "tilt" bricks and flip them around. It's probably possible, I dunno. I'm not a coder/scripter person.

can't tilt them, you would have to have another datablock for each angle of the tilt, and to flip them around, that's default with the game with moving the brick

Blockland is put on a grid, you can't.

A tool is not possible, 90 bricks, each with a different degree <- that is possible, I think. If it stays within the grid of course

It's possiable in the editor, isn't it?

No, the editor is a compilation of scripts. To angle something, you'd have to create a brick for each possible slope, or edit the engine.
