Steam is messing up.

Hope this is the right section. But when I launch any game under "My Games" list, (TF2, Portal, Portal:prelude, Gmod) it says either "game is unavailable", or "One instance of the game can be running once" when nothing else is running. I've restarted Steam, still no luck. Any help?
And yes, hl2.exe isn't running either.

Um can you start the steam app itself? can you um ReBuy the game?

It may not be hl2.exe
Try going to Task Manager, and then right click on Steam.exe. Hit "End Process Tree" so it will end any programs currently associated with steam.exe at the moment. Then restart steam.

What does rebuying the game have to do with this?


You can be playing a game and go to the steam store after an alt tab to buy one, it doesnt matter.
