the wii is fun for 10 minutes
its for boarding homes and community centers
not the average family with 2 kids
I've spent hours on Oblivion, yet I've also spent a few hours with friends on a Wii.
It can be fun with good company, and has more group games.
Hell, I remember the old Need for Speed games on PC where two people would crowd around one keyboard and try to keep their car on the road.
When it comes to group entertainment with one machine, consoles are better.
If you have a dozen PC's to make a LAN party, sure, go ahead, but at least consoles don't worry about lag, etc.
I am partial to PC's because I do a lot more than play games, but I do see a place for something like consoles in a home.
