Its marketing. They tell you how much per month when you sign up, don't they. Not how much annually, just monthly.

I got a card in my PC copy of Halo 2 and was furious; they don't let you host or anything unless you have live only can join other servers. ON THE PC, so Halo 2 was mostly SP for me. Micro$oft earn that dollar sign in their name.

Consoles are for small gaming parties with friends who come over to see how much they can glitch a game for laughs.

PC's are relatively expensive for connecting with almost anyone on the globe to play massive game with.
They are all designed for gaming, but consoles fit certain niche's better than a PC can, and vice-versa, and there are some genuinely good games on the Wii and the other consoles, such as the Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii (Frustratingly satisfying gameplay at it's finest).

Some people (like my brother) argue that Console control schemes are better for racing games which does make sense, they are all designed to do different things correctly and I think they all do what they are meant to.

Everything made by Nintendo is stuffty. Honestly it's my least favorite game developer. All I see out of it is just remakes of mario and luigi with lame technology made famous by "MOTION SENSING SUPER TECHNOLOGY THAT'S NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE" that somehow makes people cum about it.

The PS3 is amazingly powerful but damn expensive and doesn't have exactly the BEST range of games.

I'm probably gonna save up to buy new parts for my PC, so it can run better. Then I'll own all the 3rd generation gaming thingys, except the Wii. Which I don't want for obvious reasons.
