In November, I was cooking popcorn the old fashioned way (putting it in a pan and covering the top of the pan with tin foil). When it was done cooking, I had to go to the bathroom really bad. So I took the pan off the stove, and ran into the living room. The first place I set it down on was my computer seat. I proceeded to go the bathroom, and when I came out, smoke was coming from the seat. I took peeled off the pan, and saw the bottom of the pan was so hot, it burnt a hole through the "decorative" cloth of the chair and all you could see was the foam. I ran into my room, grabbed a blanket, and set it over the hole. When my mom came home, she was wondering what the blanket was doing on the seat. I told her that it makes it more comfortable.
To this day, my mom has never known about the hole in the computer chair.
