For some reason if I give a vehicle an ES_gearCount of "1", it doesn't work correctly, even when I do the gear pitches and gear speeds. I was trying to do an electric car or something with only one gear and any less than 2 gears seems to make it function incorrectly.

It'd be neat to have a mod that replaces the vehicle cameras with a custom one for both third and first person. Reacts to forces and rotation and stuff, in third person it's like a chase cam in a racing game. In first person, can "simulate" g-forces or something. Preferably would auto-center when the mouse stops moving after a configurable amount of seconds.

The main thing is the third person aspect of it, to make driving more fun. Would probably be a client mod.

Also, I was looking for a client mod that let you freeze the camera in place that I used to use, while you can still control your blockhead normally, but I can't find it anymore.

Modification Help / Trying to convert speed to MPH.

I've done it before but for some reason I completely forgot how. Trying to convert speed into MPH, using the same formula for mid-air kills, whatever the formula for that was.

Like let's say I'm editing a vehicle stat, and increasing its top speed. What's the formula for converting the value I plug in into MPH?

Gear Shift SoundsAllows the ability to play a gear shift sound each shift. Especially useful if you want to add a BOV sound to a turbocharged car.
Throttle Let-OffThe engine sound quiets down when the forwards button is not pressed, or maybe also when the engine sound is pitching down to the next gear. Or having it switch to a separate deceleration file instead.
Looping .wav SupportThe ability to use looping .wav files if preferred/assigned to the vehicle. If I used Half-Life 2's Jeep as an example, at the start of a sound file it has the car revving into gear, and then once it reaches a certain point, at the end it has loop points for the cruising sound itself. So it'll loop the cruise part but every gear shift it restarts the sound so the "into-gear" part plays, then it reaches the loop point and loops again.

Just the ability to save and load vehicle presets for vehicles that use Support_Garage.

Something I found strange about Blockland vehicles is steering animations, or rather their linearity. While steering controls in Blockland are linear, the player and steering wheel animations aren’t. Steering animations slow down drastically towards the center, and sometimes it tends to throw me off when driving at times, also sometimes leading to overcorrection in steering when driving in first person. I was wondering if this was something that could be changeable, so that I could make it 1:1 or more linear to match the actual steering.

I was also wondering if it was possible to do gear shift sounds to pair with Support_EngineSounds. Would make things sound a tiny bit better, or if you want to play a turbo BOV every time you shift depending on the vehicle. It’s probably already possible through code (where you just tell it so that when different speed values are reached it triggers it (with the speed values matching the gear speed values in the ES config), as well as adding a delay so that gear shift sounds can’t overlap each other, and also defining what sound file is used from the preloaded audio database that gets played and what audio channel it’s on) by editing the vehicle data file, but I don’t know a whole lot about programming to do something like that myself, and if someone could figure it out it’d be much appreciated.

Speaking of which, how many audio channels can entities have maximum? Like 3?

Modification Help / Bricks and rain collision.

Always found it strange how Zonebricks can block raindrops but regular bricks can't. But I don't want to put Zonebricks on everything in my maps that shouldn't have rain on them.

Is there any way we could have something that makes bricks automatically block rain?

Modification Help / Possible for cars to go faster than 200 BPS?

Been curious about this for a while, no matter what speed you set the max of a car to, it always goes only 200 BPS.

According to a speedometer mod that uses the same MPH/KMH system that Badspot uses for mid-air kills/throws, 200 BPS is exactly 155 MPH/250 KMH. Thought that was quite interesting, actually.

Modification Help / No option to update add-ons via BL Glass.

I've already reinstalled the game and reinstalled Glass. Whenever new mods are updated, Glass never notifies me to update them. Worst of all, there's no option to update anything anywhere.

I wanted to use some poster bricks but the problem is that they're centered, so if you place them up against a wall, they don't stick to the wall, they just float in midair.

Just useful for building neighborhoods and cities, looking to find some good house builds I can use to paste around and make a suburb out of.

Suggestions & Requests / Some simple round bricks I'm looking for?

I'm using 16x round corners for sidewalks using Siba's roads, however I wanted to have a round that's similar but it's just bigger, so I can use it for Siba's bigger curved roads. And/or if possible, I wanted to have a custom brick/round that would have it go on the OUTSIDE of the road as well, so the outside sidewalk can curve around as well (with of course a bigger variant for the bigger Siba road curve too).

Can anyone make these? How difficult would it be?

If anyone is unable to make them, but would like to teach me how to do it myself, I made a thread here.

Does anyone know how I can make bricks? How hard is it to make something like this? Do I have to use Blender or something, or can I fiddle with stuff in Notepad (opening .blb stuff) and get my results that way?
