Help / Re: My cursor keeps moving.
« on: September 24, 2009, 01:57:05 AM »
I'm not exactly sure if it's only BL. Since I'm running wine on linux, and haven't transferred my Windows games to linux yet..

To restate my problem, the view is controlled by the mouse, but I'm not moving my mouse. Yet my view moves slightly to the right-down, eventually I'm looking straight-down, and it's almost impossible for me to lookup.
It's also impossible to place a brick, I can try moving my mouse but only some movements are registered the rest are taken over by the game engine.

I believe it's a game engine w/ wine conflicting issues.

Are there any linux users out their with similar problems?

I'll try looking for a mac emulator.
Thanks for the input I'll try your command.

Help / My cursor keeps moving.
« on: September 22, 2009, 10:40:32 PM »
Hi, it's been a long time since I've played..
The problem I'm having is the cursor moves without me moving my mouse.. this always happens to me. (even after a restart of the game)
It's linux (wine) so..

Anyway I remember their being some code to inject into the console to stop it..
Something like mouse();

Thanks in advance.

Suggestions & Requests / BL_ID restricted... [req]
« on: January 30, 2009, 12:10:56 PM »
I see allot of clans who add passwords to their server... I'm not sure if it's possible but, creating some program that restricts players based on BL_ID would be cool.. So if someone joins w/ BL_ID '4000' and it wasn't on the whitelist they get kicked followed by, "Your not part of 'blank' clan"... I'm pretty sure it's creatable..

Reason instead of having a password is just because it would be less of a hassle.. You could have a clan application and just save every new BL_ID that's accepted..

Hmm.. Well just tell me if you like my idea.. and hopefully someone will create it ;)

Help / Re: up-dating your drivers
« on: November 19, 2008, 07:55:40 PM »
what operating system are you using?
(e.g. windows xp/linux/mac/vista?)

in windows vista (and perhaps xP) to see what video card your using, right click "my computer" and choose "manage" than click "device manager" from the list to your left. click the "plus (+)" next to "display adapters"

and you 'should' see the name of the video card. go online and type the name.. follow by, driver.
and you should find the driver. =]

I fixed it  :D

Turns out I messed up in step 2 of http://blockland.us/portForward/

I input my default gateway instead of my Ip Address.
okay, was about to tell you to make sure you didn't mess up on the guide.

Help / Re: I believe i have "Brick Lag"
« on: November 18, 2008, 12:40:49 PM »
it may be the geforce 3 series.. on my old computer i had the 6th series..

perhaps your video card isn't strong enough to handle blockland? (which sounds pretty silly..)
I'm not sure what to tell you..
I'll tell you that your hard drive is small compared to allot of others.

Have you updated all drivers?

Help / Re: i try to port forward but the site says "could not find address"
« on: November 18, 2008, 12:35:13 PM »
If you want, help telling any of us, that you got as far as "could not find address" won't get you any support at all.

What steps have you completed.

Did you forward your ports and create a private i.p?
Did you make your i.p. static (if it's dynamic) ?

Did you read the two guides? (one for forwarding and one for static i.p)

Help / Re: muting....
« on: November 18, 2008, 12:33:02 PM »
Kicking is better...
IMO muting is better, the players can play, but not talk stuff.
kicking is worse, because they'll come back and talk some more stuff.. and than.. I'll need to ban. =/

Was someone else doing something on your LAN at the time?
That's the problem if so. If not, probably Vista.
not vista, has to do w/ the settings you put for private i.p on router.. and the settings you used to make your i.p. static.

I got the problem when my private i.p address ended w/ a different number than my static i.p.
