When it was still basically just an idea, as far as potential players were concerned, delays were okay. You're not really entitled to anything at that point. But now people have paid for it, and whether you agree with the concept of pre-ordering or not, they're entitled to their copy of the game, and it's entirely reasonable to have complaints about further delays.

It can't avoid going somewhere. After it's released, it's going to travel in one direction until it hits something, then it'll either bounce off and keep going forever again, or get absorbed. Most of it isn't even going to go anywhere near the Earth, and what little does isn't going to do any harm.
That would be in theory but we always have that starfish that does whatever they want.No we don't? We're not talking about driving cars or something. Not just anyone gets to control this stuff.

Actually, I'm wrong about that, sorry. Fusion is actually pretty safe, apparently. H-bombs still aren't, though, because there is some fission going on and that causes problems.
Still, it's not like they didn't think about that stuff. The explosions are small, not enough for the fallout to be harmful or to cause electrical problems on Earth. I think they happen inside the ship, anyway? Maybe. I can't really tell. But it would definitely be safe.
