putting in my bi-annual forum post to pay my respects, honestly i'm still processing this. i can't really understate how much he actually influenced my life from making me not forget up my life going into a gamedev college from a young age, to a lot of my thoughts around game design and aesthetics being inspired by him. indirectly or not i owe him a lot. i hope he was surrounded by good friends and family in his last moments because i know the few years after knowing him on BL were not so nice to him. i'd hate to think he was suffering beforehand.

as far as this game & the community goes, both a lack of getting involved w/ servers that other people had fond memories with and a lack of pushing forward with any of my own projects as well. prob coulda had some cool experiences. ig this kinda applies to dipping out of mid-ish Mini Empires (like around 2013 - 2017), mostly the one with the big scifi session cuz that stuff has SO much history to it and basically none of it is documented. the people actually involved would probably say otherwise, tho, and yea i figure they're wise to say that. but it still just looks cool to me. it's all just unfamiliar cuz i wasn't around for so much of it.

i will provide some insight for fun if i can
i worked with him a bit on his "GTA rp" server some while back, and apparently made a big enough contribution that in his consideration of adding microtransactions to the server, that i might get a sizeable cut of it. didn't like the idea of MTs but getting money as a 14 year old who was just playing a game was kinda funny
many years later back in like, 2016? 2017? he messaged me on steam. he had apparently been doing some like, volunteer work in Africa or smn, and was.... asking me for money. i politely declined

GSFGhostdeveloped Block Party, another BL successor that came up right about the same time that Brickadia did. however i think he was developing his game singlehandedly vs Brickadia's small team. don't know if the game ever continued development but a few people followed his project so someone would know

Those stuffty ass servers suck, theres no ways to get around it but barely anyone plays blockland so i have to play those stuffty servers to talk, but they loving ban me just because i'm fuzztoast, its not my fault that everyone loving spreads propaganda about me and everyone hates me i hope they all lose all their players to good servers. All these kids hosting servers banning me are PISSING ME OFF. I bet i can rekt those virgins i could beat them up IRL... SO STOP loving BANNING ME
