General Discussion / Re: ID overload. What will happen then?
« on: April 29, 2011, 12:22:09 AM »
I doubt there will be an "ID Overload" because the server Badspot is running can probably handle many millions of these short, numerical values.

These ID's are more than "numerical values".  Behind each one is a player (Mostly each one)  if we had a million of ID's on Blockland, about 100k would roughly be active.  This is way to much.

Anyone can be an Admin on a server, but ony on that specific server. There are two levels of Admins: Admin and Super Admin. The host of the server is always a Super Admin and has total control over their server.

Admin: (Has the abilitys to Ban/Kick, teleport, and use Admin Tools)
Super Admin: (Has all the ability's of an Admin, but can also change Prefs. of the server)

There are NO designated admins for all of Blockland.

Also, Ike. Your talking like Roblox is the best thing ever. If you don't like people comparing things too it, just go play Roblox..

He is talking about the Administrators that run the game, like Badspot, or Ephialtes  could probably be considered one to because he has a decent sized role in Blockand.  They call them Admins in Roblox.

Hur dur, way to restate what they already made apparent.
Point is, it's stupid (at least, when followed to the point where a typo counts too) and makes people like me, and I'm sure many others, not want to play.

The thing is, there are thousands of users and adds on Roblox, with the few Admin's on Roblox, it's impossible to monitor all of the Ad's descriptions, etc.  They probably use bots to go around and detect the swear words and inappropriate content.  Let's be reasonable, they only save the biggest cases for themselves to deal with, such as 1x1x1x1, if you still remember him.

I know the differences of the games.  I take Blockland over Roblox two, but I was just making a point.  No need to cry.

What ever makes you fall asleep.  And the scripting in Roblox doesn't seam so Childish considering only a couple people got it mastered.  It wouldn't be such a childs game if it weren't for the "Children" who play it.

I'm just stating my opinion.  Why would I worry about Blockland getting bigger anyways?  It's better with around 30k ID's then 60K.  The first two or so years of Roblox were Ok, until the 6 bagillion people came..

Some people do, but still doesn't significantly increase the BL_ID's.  And those people will rarely use both or all of their ID's.

I never did, but the top ID DOES indicate how much people Buy Blockland.

It might get hard to manage Blockland then, Eric will probably be to lazy to update constantly, and the issues will get higher, I can't imagine the BL_ID's ever getting to the 60K's though, unless we get advertised a lot.  It'll be hard to keep Blockland selling to that much people per year in the future.  And the game is, what, 4 years old?

I have a few Questions about the BL_IDs.  First off, is Blockland reached the 30k's?  And how high do YOU think they will go??  I personally think that it MIGHT get up to 40k, but this will be in a few years, if ever.
