It's a casual game but it actually has a pretty viable 'pro' scene. It's very much about skill, where COD is about who starts shooting first essentially

Because at that point that WAS what it had become. People starting flinging themselves into the argument and spouting stuff.

Atleast you can actually hold a decent conversation. I appreciate that. You don't instantly get angry when people don't agree with you.

I genuinely want to know the questions I ask at the start. But then suddenly people start crying and I just don't understand. And trolling? Really? Hardly. I'm not acting like I don't know something to make someone angry. In fact, I really don't understand how anything I do could get anyone angry. I'm not 'starting stuff' either.

Get off your pedestal and realize you truly have no clue what you are talking about as well.

Nothing is worse than being blinded by your own stupidity. Just give up already. You're picking a fight only because xxxx said "FTL"? It's an abbrivation for "Faster Than Light". It's not referring to that stupid game. It actually was existant way before that game even was thought.

Neither of those are defensive. I understand WHAT the abbreviation stands for, what I'm saying is that most likely she was inspired to say it because of the game, and I was annoyed at the fact that a 13 year old would start talking about a subject that not much is known about  like she knew exactly what was going on.

Is it so hard for you to realize that they might be getting defensive because you are getting overly offensive. You're pushing generalized claims with no evidence on someone, of course they will react.

I do know why she is getting defensive. I'm just arguing to argue because it makes me feel good inside :)

FTL stands for Faster Than Light, I'm not implying it makes me look smart, I'm just using it because it's faster than typing "Faster Than Light" all the time.
I just use drive because it's familiar. What it's called doesn't change a damn thing, I'm still referring to stuff that makes things go at the speed of light or faster.

Also, implying the game FTL invented the term.

I'm not 'implying' anything. You wouldn't have ever said 'FTL drive' if you had never heard of the game. Admit it. You are only using the term because you were like "Wow! That sure would fit nicely into a conversation about speed of light travel! And make me sound smart too" You have no clue about how anything works in this subject.

It is basic English to refer to something as 'IT' when you don't know it's gender, or it's gender neutral. I don't know the two dogs genders, so I refer to them as 'it'. So stop acting all superior "ANIMALS ARE PEOPLE TOO!" bullstuff because it is just how our language works.

I never said I was an expert on anything, I'm just saying that I doubt that an FTL drive would instantly kill you for going the speed of light.

You are using that term like it is a real thing and not from a video game. Please stop, it doesn't make you sound smart.
