Any Republican after today doesn't think that Annoying Orange's at the very least protecting someone he knows, if not himself, from the Epstein stuff is delusional at best

I haven't seen that flamethrower model in over a decade.

You're in luck, it's been archived:

This one gave me goosebumps. Like this feels like what the game felt like to play at that time, somehow. It conveys the feeling.

I started playing around the same time, so I dug up a few shots I found in my oldest blockland install still shoved on an external archive:

Blockland just had that vibe.

I don't have as many screenshots from the eras as I'd like, but if you have more I'd love to see them.

Here's my big youtuber dump:

Civvie11 is my go to for video game content these days. Ross Scott over at AccursedFarms with the Game Dungeon is my second. Then finally it's a tie between Warlockracy and MandaloreGaming for third. Majuular is also cool as stuff.

If you want a really small channel where some former youtube pooper, furry redneck from the south reviews monster truck games and stuff, check out Stuart K Reilly.

Still love Corridor Crew videos. Logan From Earth does videos where he visits old Garry's Mod maps and explores them.

Lofty does animations I think are cool. Toad Burger too.

Dazz reviews cartoons, and Watchtower Database if you're really into the DCAU like BTAS or STAS or Justice League.

Last are my grab bags, Gaming Engineer does some mind-blowing work using only the Game Maker engine, and Nick on Planet Ripple does a series called Lego Rewind where he reviews every Lego set theme in mostly chronological order.

pretty cool. are you using retro arch for emulation front-end? if so, I'd like to know how/if scummVM runs on that thing - with scummVM you can play old point and click games like pajama sam, putt putt , freddie fish etc. you said it handles psp emulation tho so I imagine it will have no problem with those older games

So it's running arkOS with emulationstation-DE as the frontend out of the box, retroarch and scummvm can both be ran as apps though to extend the compatibility. I'm pretty sure you can flash it and have retroarch act as the frontend, though.

as for modded handhelds the only thing I have at the moment is a sega genesis portable which uses an SD card for roms - it's limited to master system and genesis games though and certain games/saves are incompatible.

Oh, that's neat though, I didn't even know they made a genesis portable.

I always worry about stuffing stuff with objects jutting out like this in my backpack, is this like an unfounded fear of mine with these pieces breaking or is this an actual thing that happens?

Also, how does PCSX2 run on this?

I put the handheld itself in a little padded bag before I put it into my backpack front pocket, that way it doesn't get jostled too bad and it's protected from bumps.

Sadly it can't run PCSX2 at all, it's an ARM based architecture that can only support up to 32bit emulation, it can run Dreamcast, PS1, N64, DS and PSP iso/roms smoothly, though.

So, I had a thought after reading Soukuw's wholesome Fried Rice recipe post - we all know social media loving sucks, why don't we make an active effort to use these forums again?

So that's exactly what I did as an experiment, I got something cool that I wanted to share with my friends so I made a post about it like old times instead of just sharing it on social media, and that along with Soukuw inspired me to write this. I know that making one post in the semi-dead Games board isn't going to revitalize the community, but it's a good-faith effort toward making quality posts that people might actually want to engage with.

Now obviously some of us are still here and continue to lurk and have lurked for eons, and the rest of us are in the one political thread in off-topic, but that being active isn't the same as using the forums for its intended purpose like we used to.

Nothing is stopping us from making posts here. You can delete your Facebook and Xitter tomorrow and this can be the only blue website in your life. Check in, give us a little update. Post what you've been drawing in creativity. If you're still playing the game (or Rebuilt) post your builds in the gallery. Post about the new Switch 2 game you got that cost $80 and you want your money back. Whatever. The beauty of these forums, this time around, is that the community and the game we love hasn't changed, but now most all of us are in our late 20s if not our 30s instead of being 12, we can use this place with a little more dignity than we once did lol.

We could have a nice little internet pocket again if we actually use it. Not everything needs to be an algorithm feed or a Discord scrollback. Post a topic, reply to one. Even if it flops it's still better than shouting into the void elsewhere.

And then one day Badspot closes the server down for good and everything some of have posted on here for the last 20 years goes away forever. But before that happens, why the hell have we let it die? We all say, all over the internet, that we miss the days of classic web-forums and bulletin boards and that social media killed it, but like, it's still loving here ain't it? Yeah this isn't a classic like SomethingAwful or a FacePunch or even a GameFAQs, but it's still ours, right? You can just, keep posting, like before. And if we actually respond to posts, people might just stick around again.

I've been using these forums since I was 14, a whopping 18 years of my casual writings exist here. Sure, most of it is stuff - but it's my stuff. I don't know, maybe that's just me being sentimental, but I figure if we're all still checking in here from time to time, that's proof enough it meant something.

So post. stuffpost. Make a thread about your cat, your car, your half-finished map. Dig up an old build and screenshot it before it's dust. Let's treat this place like it's alive instead of a memorial.

My goal for 2026 is to legitimately use this forum as it was intended again, to the best of my ability, and forego social media entirely. This is the opposite of a Blockland is Dead post. Because one day it will be gone, and I'd rather its last years look like a community than a tombstone.

Games / R36S Handheld Linux Emulator Console

Hey everyone, hasn't been a topic in the games section for a hot minute so I figured I'd share something cool. I got an R36S handheld early for Christmas and I've been having a blast messing around with it. It's basically like a smaller, dual-stick version of the RG35XX, and I've been testing out different emulators and seeing how far I can push it.

Here it is this morning running Emerald on the bus to work:

Screen is fantastic, backlit and clear. Form factor is great, I love how it really feels like you're holding a gameboy color. Even emulates PSP games without too much stutter, I was playing GTA Vice City Stories on it last night. I got the translucent purple cause my partner picked out the one that resembled my actual childhood gameboy.

I'm planning to make some of my own games specifically for it too, simple 2D/3D stuff in Godot that runs natively on the hardware. Has anyone else here tried one of these yet? Or done any game dev for these kinds of handhelds? Would love to swap notes or ideas or any homebrew apps you've gotten to run on one of these.

---

I have thought about it, I may whip up the quickest, dirtiest, barebones "don't-sue-me-eric" ""port"" of Blockland to run on this thing solely so I can finally recreate the absurdity of this thread:

And before any trolls tell me that the Gameboy Color can't connect to the Internet, what do you think the link cable is for?

rosenbaum was a registered love offender. huber had been convicted of violent crimes, grosskreutz has had multiple arrests for domestic violence, burglary, and weapons violations. you know his but won't bring it up so i'm just putting it in text for those reading this who maybe didnt know

Also, whether or not they were "good" people is irrelevant to if they deserved to die by some snot nosed punk with a gun. They'd all been tried and convicted of their crimes and assumed paid the price of their sentencing. If you believe it's permissible to kill someone on the street just because they were convicted of a felony, not only do you not believe in our system of justice, but then that means that if Thomas Matthew Crooks was successful the precedent is you're allowed to kill someone if they're convicted of felony.

Unless, of course, you're about to tell me that you think the Judge Dredd future is the one you want to live in, in which case I'll say this again:

In this very instance I want way smaller government than you do, and that should make you rethink everything.

What do you mean by this? IT was self defense at the end of the day.

When you bring a gun to a skateboard fight you're not acting in self-defense, you're manufacturing the threat. The whole point of self-defense law is that you have to be in reasonable fear for your life due to someone else's aggression, not your own decisions. When you bring a gun into a volatile (and unarmed) crowd, you've already escalated the situation. You turned a political demonstration into a potential war zone. That's not defense; that's provocation with a safety off.

One child brought a lethal weapon to a protest; another grown man reacted to the fear and chaos that gun created. The skateboard wasn't a calculated attack, it was a desperate act in a situation that the armed man caused. If you inject a deadly weapon into a crowd, you can't cry "self-defense" when people panic around you. Hell, I could even argue that for all we know (and he can't testify to this cause he's dead) Kyle was provoking him and the skateboard was his self defense.

Carrying a gun means carrying the weight of judgment and restraint. True responsible gun owners understand that self-defense starts with avoiding conflict, not charging into it. If you deliberately go where there's unrest, strapped and ready, you're not protecting yourself, you're playing vigilante cosplay and hoping someone gives you an excuse to be the hero in your own story.

Evidently you didn't bother to read the top comments on the video you linked. Mostly everyone agrees that couple were defending their property.

someone saying something you don't like doesn't give you the right to harm them wtf. be the bigger man and walk away

Bro those were your exact words. Those people weren't "defending" their property because protesters happened to be near their house and they didn't like them, they were not in any danger, they heard yelling and ran out into the street with their safety turned off with intent to kill.

You're literally saying street preachers who push bigotry are more worthy of their right to freedom of expression than a crowd of people protesting the unlawful death by a cop.
