So, I randomly thought of this game today and wanted to check out the forums, I'll spare anymore of the "oh the forums aren't like they used to be" stuff but I'm now just genuinely curious who's stuck with this silly random block game the longest. I first joined in 2009 at the the Far too young to be posting on a public forum age of 11, I'm now the far too old to be posting on a public forum about blocks age of 24, 25 next month.

basically where all my old forum users at

Edit: dammit looks like I missed my opportunity to make a post during the year of my blockland ID, 2020. something a very small portion of the community could even do.

Off Topic / what are your hopes/fears for 2017?
« on: December 28, 2016, 05:56:21 PM »
What a damn year this has been, and I am glad to see it go.
However 2017 looms around the corner, and with it comes a new year of potential tragedy or wonder. What are you hopes and/or fears for this next year of our lives?

I'm terrified to see how our social and political state plays out next year

The first segment in their "mission statement":

For centuries, mankind knew all there was to know about the shape of the Earth. It was a flat planet, shaped roughly like a circle, with lots of pointy things hanging down from the underside. On the comparatively smooth topside, Europe sat in the middle of the circle, with the other continents scattered about the fringes, and parts of Africa hanging over the edge. The oceans lapped against the sides of the Earth, and in places ran over, creating currents that would pull over the edge ships that ventured too far out to sea. The space beyond the edge of the world was a dark realm inhabited by all sorts of unholy beasts. Fire and brimstone billowed up from the very depths of hell itself and curled 'round the cliffs whose infinite length jutted straight down to the darkest depths . . . .

Then, in the year of our Lord fourteen-hundred and ninety-two, it all changed. For decades a small band of self-proclaimed "enlightened" individuals had been spouting their heretical nonsense that the Earth was in fact round. Citing "proof" based on nothing more than assumptions, half-truths and blind guesses, they dazzled the populace with their " . . . undeniable mathematical and scientific evidence . . . that the world is shaped not like a pancake, but an orange!"

Rightly wishing to dispel notions regarding the alleged citrus-like shape of our planet, the Church was able to either silence or execute nearly all the fanatics. But a small handful remained, continuing to spread their blasphemous speeches and to promote their heretical ideals involving the very center of the universe. One of their number, who called himself Grigori Efimovich, would later be known to the rest of the world as Christopher Columbus. Using an elaborate setup involving hundreds of mirrors and a few burlap sacks, he was able to create an illusion so convincing that it was actually believed he had sailed around the entire planet and landed in the West Indies. As we now know, he did not. What Efimovich actually did was sail across the Atlantic Ocean to a previously undiscovered continent, North America, and even then only to a small island off the coast. It took him several years more even to "discover" his blunder and claim it as a " . . . new world". But the damage had already been done, and mankind entered into what we now call its "Dark Ages" . . . .

discuss these wackadoodles.

Games / Are there any things like Onlive out there?
« on: January 02, 2016, 10:52:45 PM »
if you don't know what onlive is, it was a gaming thing that played games through Internet, not through your computers systems. Allowing you to play games on just about any computer, regardless if it has the specs to run it. All you needed was a good internet connection. Onlive has been shut down, which sucks because I really enjoyed the platform. Are there any other things like this out there?

Off Topic / Trying to format my 1tb hard drive for Xbox one
« on: December 22, 2015, 07:13:41 PM »

It takes me through the steps to format and when i click the final okay to format it, it just sits with the spinning loading symbol. Its a hard drive from best buy That my dad bought back in 2011, anyone know the 3.0 USB speed was used back then?

Edit: Okay I tried unplugging and plugging it back in and now it wont even let me try and format it. what gives?

Yea thanks for all the help you guys, you're all just wonderful.

I don't want to click on any of the other threads, But i wanna know if its worth seeing in theaters this next week or if i should wait till its on dvd or something.

I got around to watching this video today after hearing about it for a while. I've now watched it like 5 times without even realizing it because its so good and different.

Brendon Urie makes a great devil.

13 Orange-muslims

Basically a representative from the white house stated that his plans to "ban all muslims" was against what the constitution stands for, and disqualifies him from running for president.

This game is basically super smash brothers, but with kung fu panda instead. s

I bought this game after playing the trial because I like smash bros melee combat style but don't own a system to play it. So I figured this would do. It has 20 playable characters to start, with 4 you have to download. It's a pretty fun little game, and good for playing with friends. Which you're going to need friends because i tried playing online and only found 2 people, who i kept getting with multiple queues.

Overall its good for your simple melee fix on systems like PS4 and Xbone. I play on Xbone, and would love if i had people to play against. Discuss your thoughts on the game in general, like do you think it was a good idea to make and such.

Games / Starwars Battlefront
« on: November 18, 2015, 10:11:32 PM »
i can't seem to find a topic on this so i guess i'll make one temporally.

Starwars battlefront released yesterday, I started playing it the minute it unlocked on my xbox, and while its not as expansive as the originals, its still fun as hell. I especially love dogfighting, its soooo much better than in the other battlefronts. It feels more fluid to me. If they took the flying combat from this game and set it in the space battles of 2 I would die happy.

regular combat also feels better, and less clunky. I wish there were more options, and I really wish they hadn't decided to do away with the class system, but I'm enjoying this game none the less.

anyway, i was looking for the starwars topic so i could see if anyone was looking to form a party, I want to try and make it through a survival on master, or do some multiplayer with someone. send me a message if you're interested, CivicTurtle3456 is my gt
