I haven't had the chance to update anything. So the plane ticket for me was 200 something roundtrip but divided the gofundme money with 3-4 people would make it easier on them to go.
However I just now found out that I don't have to show up on the 14th because they just told me that second tryouts were optional.
Which is why I said I'll refund if I find out I won't be going to january.
So now I need to update the page for january expenses instead of Dec 14 expenses but I don't know if I'll get picked so I'm waiting for an email telling me I'm going.

People have been sued before even with consent and it's hard to prove it if you're alone.

Actually as a civilian you are not legally required to help an injured person. In some countries if you accidentally got hit by a car they'll kill you instead because they don't want to get sued if they did the Samaritan thing later.
