Games / Re: Metro Exodus now Epic Games exclusive (UPDATE FROM 4A)

I also think the problems goes way back with Bethesda and Blizzard anti-consumer behaviors
It seems now that these companies have openly gone against consumer ideals and I feel like people just want to be treated like a genuine loyal fan instead of a moneymaker for companies

So this decision is just making the fire hotter, and while I can see the point of removing Metro from steam, the decisions benefits more the company than the fanbase

Ive also heard that people dont want to use the epic games store because of how insecure it can be, now these are rumors, and a fast research gives me mixed opinions, what do you think?

To be honest, as fun and good this game looks, I doubt it would attract many people outside of the blockland community
BL community knows what this game is about, and has a decade of experience on how to make this game fun

Something Ive seen from youtubers that have tried the game, is that they get a bad first impression of blockland, they get bored, reason why they don't come back
I feel like BL is a special game, whose appeal is for few people, and unattractive for the majority of gamers

Oh alright, well thanks

Anyways, now that I see that the development team is mostly content creators, I think there's more chance of success

but then again, how much possibility is there for this to actually be released as a full game? what do you guys think

oh yea, it rings a bell
But I think there was another one, one with a B in its name
I kinda remember it that way, because I always confused it with brickadia

Nevermind, I found it, its GSF ghost's Block Party

Wait, who's really developing brickadia?

And apart from brickadia, what other games are being developed inspired by BL?
I know brickadia, and GSF ghost's, but I could've sworn there were more

If you are able to retrieve its body after it dies, then I guess not letting him go anywhere its the safest bet. If you cant retrieve it, it will rot and smell
If you let him go, you might just lose sight of him, unless you place traps.

Games / Re: [NEWS] Lootbox outlawed in Belguim, EA tries to fight against
« on: September 13, 2018, 08:32:35 PM »
Im not in EA's favor, lootboxes are bad, but tbh, they could get away with this

ESRB doesn't consider lootboxes as gambling, EA could use this in their favor, Im not sure how, I have no idea how legal system works
I also think UK gambling comission doesn't consider lootboxes as a real gambling, in the sense that players can't get profit from them

“While there’s an element of chance in these mechanics, the player is always guaranteed to receive in-game content (even if the player unfortunately receives something they don’t want). We think of it as a similar principle to collectible card games: Sometimes you’ll open a pack and get a brand new holographic card you’ve had your eye on for a while. But other times you’ll end up with a pack of cards you already have.” -said an ESRB spokesperson in an e-mail to Kotaku.

Just thought this would be interesting facts that EA could take advantage of

« on: June 11, 2018, 03:53:14 PM »
I dont know if you guys know this but at the interview todd confirmed:
-No offline
-Playing solo will still be online
-No human NPCs
-PvP will be tweaked, but Todd gave me the impression it will not be 100% gone for players who choose not to pvp
-Mods will appear later in the game
-Private servers
-Vats wont slow down time, so its real time

taken from here

As more info comes out, im having more and more doubts about this game
