Drama / Re: Why do ppl never admit to being wrong in arguments on here
« on: September 25, 2018, 09:08:24 AM »
I don't think people in this community approach debate issues with the goal of learning more or coming to a consensus, I think they just do it to blow of steam/be edgy.

When I approach the opposing side with an attitude like "hi, I'd like to know more about X, can you tell me what you think about Y, and why you believe Z?" oftentimes all I get is people on my side of the issue replying with a strawman of the opposing viewpoint

holy stuff is your work uniform a fursuit because if it is that's loving awesome
We don't have uniforms, just staff badges
I could do my work in fursuit if I really wanted to, but it would be difficult because I do photography and you can't see through view finder through fursuit eyes

As staff on three different conventions, I'm pretty curious behind the logistics that go into setting up the venue for just one day

Anyone who goes to any convention is loving unfit for breeding.
Yeah well two males can't breed anyways so jokes on you

save inside zip folders? what?
you have to add them manually, you can't just save it into them
Sure you can, I've done it plenty of times.

But there's no reason to. You can have add-ons in a folder instead of a zip file. There's no need for a zip file unless you're going to release it.

WoW has paid services like race change, faction change, and server transfer, and paid cosmetics like pets and mounts, since like, forever. It's also had the equivalent of bonds for a few years.

I used to play (like maybe 2006-2012) a f2p mmo called Mabinogi that had the full range of various micro transactions, plus an optional monthly subscription premium service, although (except for the very beginning of the game) it didn't unlock any extra content, just a lot of bonuses.

I wouldn't really consider RS to be free to play. I'd say it's p2p with an extensive trial.
It's not pay to win because free players aren't matched against paying players.

By flash card you mean the USB stick, right?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CompactFlash
But not sure why I didn't think of a USB stick, that would be more universal and probably just as good.

But regardless, I'd really recommend an actual drive over either option.

I don't want to void the warranty. The supplier doesn't offer internal upgrades either so I can't do much. Im on a tight budget amyways
As I said, depending on the laptop model, it's very doable, as in they're made to be easily replaced, along with ram and battery. It should be easy to find that information online.

Also, just as an FYI (I wouldn't advise trying to take on a multi-million dollar company by yourself in court) but the whole "warranty void if sticker removed" thing is actually an illegal practice, and the FTC is starting to crack down on it (link)

But if you want to go with an external option, I recommend against micro SD. Compact flash cards are more expensive, but have faster speeds, and sturdier build quality; I wouldn't trust the thinness of micro SD for long term storage. But even then I think you'd be better off with a regular drive

Why not just upgrade the internal drive?
Depending on the laptop model it can be very doable

You'd need to reinstall Windows of course, but given how much bloatware prebuilt computers usually come with, to me that's more of a pro than a con

You wouldn't need to buy a new copy of Windows; Windows 10 links your key to some piece of your hardware. So if you can just get an iso to install from, it will automatically reactivate it with the same key you had installed.

Did you read the article?
The term "lawsuit" applies to any civil matter, not just "give me ur money k"

MGM Countersuits people who think MGM resorts killed them
This

People are suing MGM trying to say the hotel is responsible for the shooting
MGM is countersuing for a release of liability

or something like that
