Author Topic: Steam Bartering Thread  (Read 1017 times)

Some ground rules:
  • Clearly state what you'd like to trade for or you have to trade in your post. Also include your Steam name so it's easier to contact you.
  • If you're following up with someone, quote them or address them directly with what you'd like to trade or offer in exchange for a game or what game you'd like etc.
  • Summarizing the last two rules: Be clear with what you want and who you're talking to and what you can offer.
  • Anything is fair game. You may exchange goods or services. As long as the other person deems your offering sufficiently valuable for the thing they're buying.
  • I am not responsible for any bad trades (game is purchased but no goods/services received).
  • It is the responsibility of the traders to work out the terms of the trade (i.e. "you must gift the game before I give you so and so" or the other way around)
  • Have fun and play by the rules. If this gets out of hand I will lock it

Successful trades:

To start things out, I have a $15 iTunes card that I'm not keen on using because I don't use iTunes. I'd like to get a $15 game on Steam for it, I haven't decided what. PM me or contact me over Steam.

I currently have nothing to barter that I know of, I'll see.

I have a 25$ Target card, a $20 Walmart Card, and a $21.92 Gamestop card.
I'd also be willing to make models for people for games, though I doubt anyone would accept that.

Also, would it be illegal to not pay up in a situation like this? Seeing as it isn't official or anything.

Uhh, how are you going to give us gift cards over the internet?

Why do you ask?
Planning on a scam?

Well if its legal then I'm out.

I don't think you can take legal action against someone for not gifting you something, especially because this is basically just promises. There's nothing legally binding about any of this but if you're worried about someone richarding you over, make sure you have them hold up their end first.

I've never been able to get into S.T.A.L.K.E.R. any suggestions on how to and when it gets interesting?

So I really want Battle Field: Bad Company 2. I have a copy for Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition I can gift. It is worth $10. I also have $10 I can use to buy your game of choice. If you don't trust me I will gift you Deus Ex first. Then you can gift me Battle Field: Bad Company 2. After the Game has been Received I will purchase your game of choice and gift it to you. If you find this agreeable Contact me Through Steam. please also respond in this thread, as I might be afk on steam.
