You missed the point.
by class, he means a base for the game engine or something.
There's a ground vehicle class and an air vehicle class, and I think that's about it.
So if a helicopter and boat class were added, then those vehicles would function like they are supposed to.

It's not that people don't know what to make, it's that theres no great way to make it.

Vehicles on water are terrible, as anyone who remembers GSF's crappy boat's can say.  Bot boats are a little bit unrealistic.  They just drive kinda funny (default rowboat, ect.)

Boats are nice but what we really need is trains/trams that run on guided bricks and stay on track.
