Author Topic: How to prove to yourself God exists  (Read 9572 times)

It's not about being super religious, it's that claiming to be christian (which I'm going to go ahead and guess is your religion of choice) and approaching it with that kind of mindset is shunned on by the church as it is in all ways bad, for lack of a better word.
The bible preaches that in the end days that fakers in the churches will be pointed out and that it is worse to go to church and not be there to worship wholeheartedly than to not go at all.
But hey if you think it's fun then knock yourself out.
How exactly would I be considered a 'faker' in church? What?
I go there because I enjoy it which is why people normally go. It's not like I am forced to.
People who are there because they don't want to be are fakers.

Also what other religious activities are there besides bible study and going to church often besides praying occasionally? I do think I am averagely religious which seems fine.

OP is just trying to stir things- too late.

Yeah, its kind of silly to be moderate in this situation.
"I wanna believe in an afterlife, but I dont actualy give a stuff."
Might as well be deist.

You guys are all just mad because none of you can stop masturbating for 3 whole days.  :cookieMonster:

'God' is no one thing. It represents a higher power and presents a way for people to connect on a deeper level.
Your 'God' can literally be anything or anyone. The only difference is if your belief leads you to act in a more acceptable way.

I could believe in a head of cabbage that teaches equality and it would be no different than your god if it meant something to me..

As for the first part and 'faker' comment I am referring to people who attend church but do not actually have faith and believe/trust in god, which is told that these people will be pointed out to the rest of the people that attend church as another means to worship.

As for the second part you are missing the point, religious activities such as a bible group have no importance, they are as previously stated just another means that people use to execute worship in a community environment, attending them on its own means absolutely nothing. My point is that the actions you are talking about and holding such as going to church and bible study are merely superficial in the eyes of your god, if they do not have genuine love or worship behind them.

What I am basically saying is that I would consider myself an average religious Christian would I not?
I have been baptised etc, go to bible classes occasionally and church, and I do believe in god. Rofl, why else would I go.
