Author Topic: Does anyone actually type using the home keys format?  (Read 2612 times)

...which is to slow you down.
That wasn't made to slow you down, but actually to make you able to type as fast as possible without causing jams (using typewriters)

I have memorized the locations of all the keys on my keyboard.

What the forget am I doing with my life.
I have too. It's not hard..

i rest my hands on the asdf and i usually get 100-110 because my hand moves fast from my mouse to my keyboard

My mom got me keyboarding lessons when I was eight or nine, but I could never do it quickly and it didn't stick. The more I used a computer though, I just eventually started my own way of typing. I don't really pay attention but I don't think I use my thumbs at all (space bar) and my fingers just go to the closest keys.

I just move my pointer fingers over the letters I want
works pretty well for me

If I try to type my best was 120wpm

you would use the peck method, wouldn't you

I never thought about this. I do on my left hand, but not my right. That's weird.

I type 129 WPM.

Sometimes my fingers drift off the homerow and to the side a key so I get a line well typed gibberish.
