Game Pricing: $0.99 (On Discount At The Moment I Believe)
DLC Campaign Pricing: $0.99
Overall Rating: 9/10
Graphics: 8/10
Models: 9/10
Textures: 8/10
Effects: 9/10
Optimization: 7/10
Conclusion: The game is quite linear but that's expected for Ipod Touch games yet I seemed to get some serious frame rate drops especially when I got the speed powerup. It still has those beautiful effects such as that epic stream of rainbow blood that comes rushing out of the decapitated body. There are some major cases of clipping but other than that the graphics are awesome!
Gameplay: 10/10
Campaign: 10/10
Other Gamemodes: 9/10
DLC Campaign: 9/10
Replayability: 9/10
Conclusion: The campaign is awesome and those animated cutscenes just really add to the atmosphere. The campaign can be harder than stuff but it's just incredibly fun and addictive. It's a third person shooter but the camera angle is quite weird since it's over your head instead of over your shoulder so aiming can be tricky. The controls are decent overall but don't respond too well when the game is getting frame rate drops. It can also be annoying since pitfalls in this game will instantly rape you and consume an extra man rather than just respawning you and taking away some health. They went experimental with the gameplay compared to the old defense type gameplay of the original came and I think they succeeded. The other game modes such as Boss Trial can be fun but the campaign is what makes the game. The DLC campaign is even HARDER which is hard to believe and I couldn't even make it past the second level mostly due to pitfalls and that the fact that the character you control in the DLC is taller than most enemies so you have to aim down which results in your head blocking the crosshair. The DLC campaign also costs an extra buck but I recomend buying it. The game gets a high scoring of replayability due to having alternative routes in the campaign.
Storyline: 9/10
Cutscenes: 10/10
Intro: 9/10
In-Game Story Telling: 3/10
Conclusion: The cutscenes are just awesome! Their animated humor just makes this game one of the best Ipod Touch games I've ever seen. The intro was quite bland though and the voice acting was pretty bad compared to the DLC Campaign cutscenes. There's really no in-game story telling nor objective. You just run through rooms shooting anything that moves then you fight a boss. A little too simplistic but maybe that's what they were aiming for. Overall the cutscenes is what saves this game in the storyline.
Final Notes: The game is just plain awesome. The graphics are nice to look at even if it is linear and the gameplay will keep you addicted for hours. I recommend buying this game as soon as you can. Also check out the original game because that kicks ass too.
