Author Topic: I have a band concert tonight and am nervous as stuff.  (Read 3261 times)

I don't know why everyone was nervous as stuff when I had my first concert in 6th grade. I didn't even have any adrenaline going. I play saxophone as well

First, I play clarinet, so I know how you feel.

Second, if you mess up, no one will hear you over those freaking loud Annoying Orangeets and saxaphones.

Third, what is the worst that could happen? Missing a b♭? chill.

Fourth. Good luck.

It went pretty well. We listened to the concert today from our director's iPod. We did pretty good. We have some squeaks in the intro of our first song and the 2nd song. The Annoying Orangeets came in really loud and badly at one part. And a trombone played when they had 6 measures of rest. Other than that, pretty well.

That's not so bad I guess.

I had my scale test today, and started shaking like crazy. Was not fun, especially cause I went from beginning band to wind ensemble (top band at my school) in 1 year, adding onto the pressure.

Looks like I'm stuck with 7th chair.
