Then they have faster reflexes or you have a bad connection if they knife you first.

Most of the time it is reflexes.

If you have bad internet, oh well

kevlar+marathon What?

but my reactions sometimes suck, but i mean you're just turning a corner or are about to and a guy is there, sometimes i can knife him first but... you can't kill everybody, everytime, and never die.

It makes perfect sense, beating somebody with the butt of your gun is more effective than stabbing them.

Perfect logic!
It is logic, you can hit someone with the butt of the gun, knocking them off balance, faster than you can pull a knife out of its sheath. You don't carry your gun with a sling when you're shooting it so you would have to put the sling on your shoulder and quickly pull out your knife. Also its not really turning the gun around completely, you hit them with the corner. The knife is used as a stealth kill or last resort weapon, when all guns are out of ammunition, not a weapon to get tons of kills with.

Modern Warfare is still my favorite.

I wish they didn't get rid of oldschool mode though.

I LOVED Modern Warefare, but I played it again yesterday after about 2 years, and found it absolutely unplayable because it felt like the sprint speed was set to 1000 or something. It was crazy. Never realised it was so damn fast before.

You probably hit a hacked lobby?  CoD 4 is crawling with those at the moment.  IW is said to be patching that soon.

well a perk called kevlar is like juggernaut and marathon makes your sprinting speed faster...

>Noob1 runs around the corner.

>Noob2 is in a tower with a loving stakeout with slugrounds.
He fires on Noob1 as he runs around the corner.

>Noob3 comes up and knifes Noob2 in the leg. Instant Kill.

>Noob2's Sluground rams Noob1 in the foot, providing instant kill.

------------

Nerf that idea.

Maybe the slug round would be an instakill at close range, but maybe ~75 damage after that? Besides, if you got your foot blown off in a battle, you're dead anyway unless you can get help really quickly.

Also, on the knife: Sounds like they're serioulsy nerfing it in MW3, so probably no "knife instakill" anymore unless you do like a 3 second stab animation.

Would be hot if they made the knife rarely used and got rid of secondaries. If they aren't going for a realistic approach this time, then they can just do whatever the want, they better not claim it a simulation game though.

I sometimes hear people say that they think MW2 is realistic.
Then i bring up the fact that you can pull out your knife in 1 second.

And you can take 50 shots to the head, take cover for 2 seconds, then jump off a roof.

The only mission I thought was realistic was the First one, in Afghanistan with a stuff ton of other marines with you.  That's how war is more like, not two people killing an entire army of people.

Smart sounding fancy talk doesn't make a game realistic, just pointing that out.

'Go go go move up to position Charlie I'll watch your six!  Watch it, two tangos in that hallway!  Alright mission succes, clear out for evac!'

Me and my cousin played with a kid that talked like this in Bad Company 2.
He has 11.

i hate the hard core gamers, they take thing WAY to seriously
