Author Topic: Is there such a thing as a free hosting service?  (Read 3660 times)

The only reason I'd see using Hamachi in a network situation is for applications that run directly on a LAN such as Network Management Software (CiscoWorks, HP network node discovery etc) and/or for increased security through encryption.

So what. I don't care if it is redundant. It's just an example.

Did I say I know how to forward ports? No. Did I say that I was a networking pro? No.

I didn't want to spend an hour trying to help this kid figure out how to forward his ports
Implying you knew how to in the first place.
And then, actually saying you know how to do it:
I know to forward my ports and its easy

Then there's the few posts where you tell people they don't know what  they're talking about.

You obviously have no clue what were talking about.
You have no idea what your talking about, no offense.
Your really stupid. :(
I was going to say that about you, but whatever. I mean, I didn't prove you wrong like 5 times, but ok.
Lol no.
Your stupid.  :panda:

Then there's the part where you were saying you knew how to set things up right.

I do.
Easy as hell.
Then, you change it to whatever you want, a higher number is recommended
Easy
Satisfied?

I was simply suggesting an easy program for someone like blueblur to use, since the chance is that he probably cant figure out how to forward his ports.
So you don't even know that he can't?
So here you are, shutting down a learning experience just because you don't know if he can figure it out or not?
Please. Don't ever do ANY kind of teaching ever again.

How did you throw all your experience at me?
I was about 13 or 14? when I first did it. I did not mess up once, got it all right on my first try.
I port forward everything in 5 seconds without any issue. And yes, I did time myself once just to prove a point.

And not only do I need to port forward through one router, but two. Yes, that's right, I had to set up a second network to connect through the first one. I've done network bridging for not only physical devices but also virtual devices. I've looked up information on domains and domain name systems (DNS). I've worked on a webserver system (originally by truce) in order to accept different kinds of commands. I know exactly what the hosts file does. I know what DMZ is.

Your just telling me stuff I already I know.
Telling you stuff you already know, that in the same exact post, you said you don't know.

Congratulations.

Devastating drama topic OP right there, Chrono. You make great points.

he just bit off more than he could chew, so he tried to swallow it whole and choked.

what a shame

If I wanted the computer to make one for me, (it would be unstatic,), I would choose "Obtain an IP address"

>unstatic
