Or use OBS, Open Broadcaster Service. Supports livestreaming, direct game capture, screen capture, as well as saving videos. Not sure how the framerate compares though.

For me all I need is the framerates and quality. Fraps doesn't offer me framerates for some reason.

You have to export it, it's not an actual video file.

Rightclick the video file on the Action panel and click "Export selected file."
