The only good thing that came out of this seems to be the Steam Controller.

Unless the Steam Machine manufacturers get some deals done with the part manufacturers to get the parts cheaper and make the 6000 dollar machine a 1000 dollar one.

If you can get these in markets and retail stores NEAR the other consoles and NOT in a whole new isle, then they can get some pretty good business because then people looking at consoles will notice them too and reconsider (maybe, this is just my opinion). I'm talking about the lower priced ones too.

Who knows, maybe in the future Microsoft will create more stuffty operating systems that will have a closed system where no 3rd party software is allowed.
