i found it to be legitimately saddening. I was hoping for a cool movie about tank warfare and how horrible it actually was. not a wierd hollywood investor sink.
expect that for a long time then. it's been happening since forever.

Well they did kill the tiger in a legitimate way

Well they did kill the tiger in a legitimate way

yup, took 4 shots, too.

i haven't seen the movie but i watched a clip on youtube of the scene with the tiger and it's completely possible

people like jubel play WoT and don't understand that things are not a set of game mechanics in real life

the first shell penetrated the tank but didn't explode because this was very late in the war and production quality was crap late in the war (it still damaged the turret mechanisms of the tank and broke stuff)
the second shell bounced off the EXTREMELY angled upper glacis of the tank which is also believable

seriously, a 1.28cm Jagdtiger shell bounced off the rear of a sherman turret in REAL LIFE
they didn't even get that lucky in the movie

movies would be nowhere near as entertaining if they were about the norm.
they're interesting because they're about the people who get lucky and not the people who don't

i can't speak about the Pak40 ricochets because i haven't actually seen the movie but they're probably just as feasible

also the tracers were absolutely that bright in real life
