it's set in the cold war era, i think?  that's when diamond dogs existed.  iirc it's around the same time as the original metal gear game.

Yeah, near the end of the cold war. I thought it was cool when i saw the game play that it brought back revolver ocelot and Big Boss. MGS3 was my all time favorite, so seeing those two characters again was nice.

I also find it amusing that Quiet's name kinda contradicts the character. Because she's actually loud as forget, especially when she moves around in her super-fast-sonic-go-invisible mode. The only thing quiet about her is that she doesn't talk.
