At least American history books admit we forgeted up in the internment of the Japanese Americans during the war.
Do you have any idea how well they were treated in those internment camps?  They got free healthcare, childcare and schooling. It was kind of like a summer camp except you couldnt leave.

Besides, Japan was so cunning and ruthless during WWII that our ancestors didnt want to take the risk of internal japanese loyalism disrupting the home front or letting spies loose.

Yeah, because disease ridden and half built camps were total summer camps. You have no idea how poor the conditions were in the camps. If you got located to a camp in the desert, guess what, sand was everywhere, it got into your living quarters, it got into your food and anywhere else imaginable. Toilets would back up with so much refuse, buildings were makeshift and some of them had to make their own shacks with material provided, disease spreaded quickly, you were lucky to get a competent enough cook or farmers to make food that would provide decent food. And these pieces that I just mentioned are just the tip of the iceberg.

It was bad, there's no getting over it.
