Author Topic: It's Finally Here: 3D Gaming!!!!  (Read 2875 times)

Oh goody, is this the one that destroys your eyes and gives you headaches if you look at it too long?

I remember reading somewhere that there is either A) a physical dial somewhere or B) a software setting you can use to alter the power of the 3D effect.

So you can basically set how much the object pop out. If it hurts your eyes too much to begin with you can lower the setting, and later as your eyes adjust you can turn it up for more "wow".

If it weren't for the need for a 120Hz capable monitor this tech could become widely prevalent. Due to the way games are made anyway it is almost too easy to get them working with the technology. Only a lack of available consumer hardware hurts it's chances.

This didn't exist until this year to all of you idiots talking about the failures of 2002 and such. Also,
Plus it came with some games! :D
the one I am talking about works with any game, movie, or picture. So suck it.

Doesn't work on pictures, idiot.

I didn't know about this till now. I'd stuff brix playing DeadSpace with this. Mirrors Edge too due to motion sickness :S

Nvidia has been talking about this 3D product for years now...at least since early 2008.

In other news....OCZ has their mind-control gaming headset. :D

1. Get four giant monitors
2. Put in square
3. Get inside them
4. Connect them all to one pc (somehow)
5. Game on them

Would it work with two placed at angles?

;o

...

Didn't imply that it was new. I assumed that it would be news to these people...especially considering that the 3D gaming tech from Nvidia has been around awhile.

I remember seeing somewhere a helmet for racing games, you would turn your head and the camera would move accordingly.

It would have to be pretty badass with a steering wheel and pedals and not have to look at them, and see them in the car interior of the game :D
