Author Topic: Fable 3  (Read 3954 times)

Yes, you heard it... The Fable series has announced it's third installment, Fable III
In fable 3 you play as the child of your Fable 2 character (if you had one) your quest is to overthrow the tyrannical ruler of the kingdom and become queen/king.
In this game they have more choices, more ways to customize your character, dog, and... weapon?
Yepp, as you fight your weapon evolves too, with you, the "Great longsword" becomes "Hiiro's Great Longsword"
It's tradeable and so on, if you kill innocents and gaurds it becomes evil, and drips blood.

You can have wings that burst from your body, pretty cool effects and such, now.... watch! (That was a quote from Lord Lucien BTW)

I hated Fable 2 since it was very short and once you completed the main story, you did nothing else. That was it
I doubt fable 3 will be any different, but I have yet to turn down a fable game. Might as well try it

Fable 2 is good but it's really short. Hopefully Fable 3 will be a bit better.

But it was delicious when it lasted, right?

Yes it was
I'll probably have to try this one from being a fable fan.
Hoping it's better than the others.

I hope that it's challenging also.

I think Fable 1 was better than Fable 2 except for the pure/corrupt system, buying any house without killing the owners, Multi player, and the Boy/Girl chars

just wait for the monyleux interviews where he promises SOOOoo much stuff.

then when the games come out, everything he said is either in there, but twisted, or they dropped it all together

He has a talent for "overhyping".

I'll buy it because this is the type of game genre I'm always attracted to most.

I think what I like about Fable the most is that they actually show your character changing based on what he/she does. Most RPGs you will have the same looking character all the way through, regardless of how many evil deeds or battles you fought in. The game doesn't have much to it after you beat it, but it definately puts you in your characters shoes.

I disliked the boss battles in Fable 2. The last one was especially pathetic...

some things i hope to see in fable 3 is:

more freaken diversity and free-roaming, less linear crap. i'd like to see some change in terrain while im running around.

online play that DOESNT suck.

maybe a few party-based quests

more dialogue options

wide variety of armor, weapons and clothing

and i'd like to see the guns and companion return. i liked the dog, but i think it would make more sense for you to have to gain the ability to tame something to be your partner. and the guns were just pretty coolio, except for the fact you couldnt freaken move while shooting

This better be on something other than the XBOX. I played Fable 1 a long time ago on my brother's xbox, then he sold it. So I got The Lost Chapters for PC.
