I grew up Mormon, sir and we never forced anyone to convert. We just went door to door to talk about the bible and answer any serious questions someone might have about religion. But thanks to moronic statements like that, people won't let them in to even say good day. Every time I have a Mormon missionary over it's always 3/4 talk about every day things and one Bible passage and what it means to them.

So forget you and your high horse you rode in on. Good day, sir.

Of course some Mormon missionary isn't going to say "we believe that God cursed Cain and made him black so all black people are evil!" to some random person he meets going door to door.  The number one rule of Fight Club is that you don't talk about Fight Club, and that applies to any kind of cult.

So, A, you were never a truly consistent Mormon, or B, you never got past "peon" status in the organization.

If you read the stories about what the Mormons did to people when they were moving west, you will be horrified.  Joesph Smith could sentence people to death by the flick of his hand.

one cool thing about Mormons is they have some kind of rank in heaven.
like different levels. if you didn't believe in god at all you could still go to the lame heaven, and i guess just miss out on the parties.

however that multi-wife thing is actually christian/jew as well.
as no where following the new testament and Jesus did anyone ever say to STOP having several wives.
it has been encouraged as the will of god on many occasions in the bible.

so technically, NOT having 2 or more wives is a sin.

Wrong.  The Bible condemns polygamy many, many times, in both the Old and New Testaments.

In Old Testament Israel, it was condemned, but the kings (including David) still practiced it anyways, and God eventually punished them.

even appointed them his prophets to the jews.

it was Samuel 12 or something, god not only loved (whatever prophet he was talking to) so much and granted him 2 wives and 3 concubines, but went on in detail to grant him more.

and of course the bible contradicts itself a billion times. it was written by 1000 people that had basically no interaction with each other at all.


maybe your to use to your priest recycling that same newly written story over and over you forgot to study the actual word of god outside of a church.

there is a huge difference from god punishing someone, and the roman empire punishing someone. or the governor of the Jewish state punishing someone.

They give research grants to scientists. Just because you have the ass backward belief that modern science is a conspiracy does not mean that all churches do. You're an extremist by every definition.
