1. Yes, lol. I still have my Lite. :) I've also realized that soon, Nintendo will have FOUR versions of ONE system.

good thing I dont have any of the gba games then

also you go to kanto after beating the first 8 gyms, then you can access the rest if kanto after beating the elite 4
